A simple way to transform a space with warm, atmospheric lighting.
At MaxMarcus, we specialise in festoon lighting hire across London, delivering elegant lighting installations for weddings, private parties, brand activations, corporate events, gardens, rooftops, terraces, restaurants, and outdoor venues.
Why Festoon Lighting Matters
Lighting changes how a space feels.
Festoon lighting creates warmth, defines outdoor spaces, and encourages people to stay longer. Whether suspended overhead, wrapped through trees or used to frame a terrace, it provides a relaxed atmosphere without feeling overdesigned.
Unlike temporary decorative lighting, professionally installed festoon lighting creates a clean, consistent finish that photographs well and works throughout the evening.
Why Choose MaxMarcus
It’s not just about the lighting. It’s about how it comes together.
From delivery through to installation and collection, every detail is handled with care. Each run of festoon lighting is carefully planned, securely installed, and positioned to complement the venue—not compete with it.
We regularly install festoon lighting for brand activations, retail events, weddings, and private celebrations across London, working around venue access times and event schedules so everything is ready well before your guests arrive.
Our clients return for dependable service, considered installations, and lighting that simply feels right.

Where Festoon Lighting Works Best
Weddings
Soft overhead lighting that creates a warm atmosphere throughout the evening.
Garden Parties
Ideal for gardens, marquees and private outdoor celebrations.
Entrance & Walkway Lighting
Beyond creating atmosphere, festoon lighting is an elegant way to guide guests from the entrance to the main event, making pathways easy to follow after dark while creating a warm first impression.
Corporate Events
Adding warmth and character to outdoor networking spaces and receptions.
Brand Activations
Helping transform retail courtyards, rooftops and temporary event spaces. We also provide DJ equipment hire and in-store brand activations to create a complete event setup.
Restaurants & Hospitality
Perfect for terraces, beer gardens and outdoor dining areas.
Installation & Safety
Every installation is assessed individually.
We use commercial-grade festoon lighting and secure mounting methods suitable for each venue. Where required, we can install lighting between buildings, trees, poles and temporary structures, ensuring a neat finish without compromising safety. Every installation is designed around the venue, whether that means spanning a courtyard, framing an outdoor dining area, or creating a canopy above guests.
Festoon lighting is often paired with our uplighting hire to create depth, warmth and atmosphere throughout the venue.
Areas We Cover
We provide festoon lighting hire throughout London, including Mayfair, Soho, Covent Garden, Shoreditch, King’s Cross, Chelsea, Kensington, Canary Wharf, Richmond and Wimbledon. Whether you’re planning a rooftop event, private garden party or corporate activation, we’ll help design an installation that suits both the venue and the occasion.
