The Brief

For The Sporting Club’s pre-Six Nations Props Lunch at Quaglino’s, the brief was clear: create a live event environment that felt polished, effortless and entirely in keeping with the room.

Guests arrived for drinks before moving into a three-course lunch, followed by live conversation with Joe Marler and Dan Cole. As the afternoon unfolded, production needed to support the flow of the event without ever competing with it.

Our Approach

In a venue like Quaglino’s, restraint matters.

Rather than overpowering the space, the technical setup was designed to sit comfortably within it. This allowed us to support visibility, sound clarity and guest experience while preserving the atmosphere the room already carries so well.

Wireless microphones and strategically positioned TV screens ensured guests had clear sightlines and consistent audio throughout the room.

The setup was designed to support speaker moments without compromising the intimacy and hospitality-led atmosphere of the lunch.

Delivery

From arrival drinks through to lunch service, speaker moments and the close of the afternoon, the space needed to transition seamlessly.

Here, timing and atmosphere were everything.

Our role was to ensure every shift in the room felt natural — from background hospitality to focused live conversation — while maintaining the pace and ease expected of a Sporting Club event.

The Result

The afternoon felt exactly as it should: relaxed, refined and well-paced.

As a result, guests were able to enjoy the hospitality, the conversation and the energy of the room without ever needing to think about what was happening behind the scenes.

Production did its job quietly, allowing the experience to lead.

Ultimately, the result was a considered hospitality environment, delivered with technical precision and a calm, experienced team behind the scenes.
