Marcus is an absolutely fantastic DJ. He’s worked with us three times over the past few years, DJ’ing for each of our three children’s Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Each event was amazing and at the most recent party for well over 100 people, Marcus had everyone including young, old and in-between- up on the dance floor. I’ve never seen anything like it!
Marcus is a true professional, and knows how to make a party flow. In addition to the music, which was just right, he brought fabulous up-lights which made the venue look really special, and arranged a photo booth which was also a big hit.

I would highly highly recommend Max as a DJ!

My husband and I had our wedding at Frederick’s in Islington, and our evening reception at Rotunda on Regents canal. Max had a great relationship with both venues which is a great credit to the service he was to provide, and also meant I felt confident he knew these venues well enough to ensure there would be no technical hiccups!

Having been recommended Max as a DJ by The Rotunda, he swiftly contacted myself and my other half to meet for a face to face consultation – in a world of emails this was great! At the consultation Max was fantastic – friendly and knowledgeable! He quite rightly said that it was a good idea to meet before so it wasn’t a surprise who turned up on the day! In this meeting he asked us some great questions to get a feel of what kind of wedding we wanted (of course agreeing and emphasising the importance of music to this). He also explained the process that would follow…

As someone who loves music, but struggles with even iTunes, and rarely knows ‘who sung that song’ The Max Marcus’s database of tracks was incredible! It was so easy to use, gave us lots of ideas, and was so much fun to do! It’s well organised into: ‘must play,’ ‘play if possible’ and most importantly ‘don’t play’ (there were other categories also…). This part of the process really got us in the party mood we wanted for our wedding! Our guests were also able to access this.

Once we’d selected the songs we wanted, and added some notes, Max added to this fantastically well – we loved every second of our wedding and the music played no small part in this.

I was so impressed with the fact that even though we’d only employed Max to DJ at Rotunda he also sent an iPod to Frederick’s for the service and lunch – could we possibly have asked any more?

Whilst our wedding planning went off ‘without a hitch’, I understand many people face many challenges in such planning. In having Max as a DJ, you really can rest assured this would not be a challenge, rather and absolute pleasure.

Many many thanks, and to reiterate my initial point: I would highly highly recommend Max as a DJ!

We hired uplighting from Max Marcus Events for my 50th birthday on the Tereza Joanne Function Boat. The lights were set up across the back wall of the boat and some were used to light up the band I had hired. The effect was amazing, with all the lights in the room changing colour in unison. The uplights transformed the look of the boat and their delivery and collection service was so convenient.

Max was the DJ at our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. Before the wedding he met with us to talk through what kind of music we would like for the evening reception, and what we wanted to hear during drinks and the wedding breakfast. This was great and really put us at ease. We really felt Max knew exactly what kind of vibe we were looking for at the reception.
On the night Max arrived promptly and the music could not have been better. He mixed the music we chose on our playlist along with some great music of his own and turned away the requests for ABBA as we had requested. I don’t think party would have been half as good without him.
Everybody had an amazing time, I couldn’t believe my mum was dancing to Drum and Bass at the end of the night. The sound and light was spot on, and our friends who are serious clubbers were raving about the music.

Wedding DJ Berkshire. Private Marquee Wedding.

Max and Marcus provided the soundtrack to our wedding. Our entire day was choreographed perfectly, from music for my wife’s walk down the aisle, drinks and dinner music, to the amazing sax player they provided for the wedding disco. Our wedding was held in a marquee and they provided everything from the starlit dance floor, to the stunning up lighting and even organised a photo booth for us.

We didn’t employ a party planner for our wedding but looking back at our most special day it would not have come together as perfectly as it did without them.

Thank you guys so much for helping to make our most special of days so perfect.

We live and got married in Essex at Quendon Hall. Before the wedding Marcus drove out to our home to meet us and discuss the wedding details. We took an instant liking to him and quickly felt our wedding was in safe hands.

On the day he arrived nice and early to set up and provided a cordless microphone for the speeches along with background music for our drinks reception and wedding breakfast. The reception room looked amazing with all the uplights he had placed around the room. He was so professional, I felt I had nothing to worry about, which for a control freak like me is rare! He played all our silly requests and some songs we were not expecting. He even accommodated odd requests from my husband. We had an amazing time and our guests really enjoyed the variety of music as well. It was not all ‘bang bang’ as my mother would say. The day passed without a hitch, I truly cannot recommend him enough.

Thank you Marcus and team, you really did help make my wedding day the best day of my life.

We booked Max for my sisters 30th birthday party as he came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. From the first meeting with Max, we found him really personable and professional. He spent time to find out a bit about us, and the birthday girl to ensure that the night was totally tailored to our needs. He continued his commitment to our event with good communication to ensure that everything went to plan and ran smoothly on the night. If you’re reading this because you’re looking for a DJ…you can stop looking! We wouldn’t consider using another DJ for any future events. Trust us…you won’t be disappointed.

After finding Max for our daughter’s wedding, he met with us to discuss our song choices and was always available to answer any questions. We wanted to find the right DJ for our big night and we certainly weren’t let down, our guests were dancing non-stop as he co-ordinated with our wedding band playing the tracks we wanted. On top of that a really nice guy to deal with who assisted in creating a magical day for our family. I would gladly recommend Max Marcus Events to anyone if they want a guaranteed memorable occasion.

Max was our Guardian Angel DJ. I was a Hindu, Bengali bride marrying a Italian Irish Catholic groom who comes from the Deep South of America. We both came together as a couple because of our love of the Blues. The wedding was a traditional Hindu affair with an Indian reception, attended by guests from as far as Mississippi, Louisiana, Calcutta, Toronto and London. We are both music fans with eclectic music tastes, that includes a love for Indian classical, Southern blues, funk, soul, as well as classic rock such as David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, and Roxy Music. Hence, we wanted our wedding to capture the best of both our cultures and our love for music. We struggled to find a wedding DJ, who would capture all these influences in one day. A friend of mine recommended Max. From the outset, Max totally understood our tastes and the kind of wedding we wanted. He has an extensive music collection, from which he was able to pull out traditional Shehnai music for the Hindu wedding ceremony, compile a traditional Mississippi blues and southern soul soundtrack for the drinks reception, to playing classic Bollywood for the sit down meal. He even owned a rare George Harrison track, that I have been dying to get my hands on for years. His main set totally blew us away with his ability to mix up music across all genres – i.e. Lynrd Skynyrd with Panjabi MC. Our guests have been talking about his set ever since. If anything, many were frustrated that they had to leave early because of their kids. Everyone couldn’t stop dancing. To add, Max comes with PA system, lights, disco ball and a complete understanding of the complex logistics of wedding planning. He’s very mindful, intutive and has a lovely manner which is very reassuring. He made our wedding and is worth every single penny!

A huge thank you to Max. A true professional, dedicated to making sure that your big day goes as planned. You went above and beyond the call of duty as our DJ and provide a total entertainment business. This really came to light when we were let down by a harpist 1 month before our big day, I called Max and asked if he knew anyone, he came back with a recommendation; name, number and price, all I had to do was book.

Max was the ultimate party DJ. Incredibly thorough, ensuring every last detail was agreed before the day itself.
We were very particular about the style of music we wanted and the guys managed to match our selection from their extensive library.
